Evening of Prayer & Eucharistic Adoration
As the year of St. Paul comes to a close, we gather this Monday, June 29, at 7:30 pm at St. Anthony’s Chapel for evening prayer, Eucharistic adoration and benediction. As summer begins, and the pace of life becomes a little less hectic, why not spend this hour in the presence of Christ, with Peter, Paul, and all his saints, placing our needs and our lives before him? Please join us and bring your family or a friend.

High School Youth Group
On Wednesday, July 1st, the High School Youth Group will meet at St. Aloysius Social Hall at 7pm. We will be planning activities and discussing possible service projects as well as playing a few games. Refreshments will be served during the meeting.

Protecting God’s Children Classes
Most Holy Name and St. Aloysius Parishes, along with the Diocese of Pittsburgh, is committed to keeping our children safe. Therefore, in accordance with the Diocese of Pittsburgh, it is our goal to get everyone in our parish that does any kind of work with children signed up in the Centralized Diocesan Database. Volunteers who perform services for the Church should consider themselves to be mandated reporters if they come into unsupervised contact with children during the course of their volunteer Church work. Please know that information asked for on the Database Application is not stored on the internet. The information in encrypted so it cannot be read even if it were accessed. All lectors, Eucharistic ministers, choir members, and ushers must submit an application. If not, they will be in violation of the Diocese of Pittsburgh Safe Environment Policy. If you have not taken a Protecting God’s Children Class yet, please sign up for one of these sessions by calling either parish office.

CCD News
Our CCD program is on the lookout for volunteers! Currently we are in need of a 5th grade teacher for next year as well as teacher assistants for several grades. If you feel that God is calling you to this important ministry, please contact Steve Swank at 412- 759-9835 or mhncre@yahoo.com. Attention Parents: If you haven’t done so already, please return your child’s registration form ASAP so that we can register him/her for next year!

Hockey Coaches Needed
Because of the overwhelming demand that our hockey players have for a second season each year, we will be attempting to expand our hockey program this year with the first annual MHN Fall Classic. Following one of our most exciting seasons ever, we have decided to add a shorter season in the fall, similar to the Olympics, in that we will play a lot of fames in a short period of time. The only problem we may run into is with possibly not having enough coaches. For the Fall Classic, we need a different kind of commitment from coaches. The games will be scheduled November 4,5,6,11,12 & 13. There will be a rainout night scheduled for the 18th of November, with the championships being decided on the 19th and 20th. I know there are people out there who have wanted to coach in the past, but could not make the long commitment that our 10 week Winter/ Spring season requires. While it’s true that the Fall Classic requires that coaches need to commit to being there 3 nights a week, it is only for 3 weeks. This could be your chance! Note: Being a coach in the Fall classic does not commit nor obligate anyone to coaching in our regular season. We are just looking for a way to give the kids more of a chance to play hockey. Anyone who is interested in coaching in the Fall Classic, should contact Jim Brueckner at 412-418-9999.
